Ever changing outputs...

I set up my presets in the HD500 to primarilly record and also monitor thru the DT25 amp.
I personnally like the sounds when the output is set to Sudio/Direct which is set globally.
When I next turn on the Dream Rig - Nightmare Rig - the output gets changed automatically to Combo Pwr amp recognising the DT25.
Nice huh? Not what I want - I want to retain Studio/Direct.
Is there a way to save this?
If not why give the options if it recognises a DT amp?
well... most people don't want to feed mic and room emulation into a guitar amp that's probably mic'd in a room...
which would be why it changes....
don't think you can override this.
As the manual says there is no wrong way to do things (paraphrasing) But LINE6 there IS...
Zap I think you are correct but was just hoping that by standing on one leg with my finger in my ear it would secretly change it.
Guess I can stop being a one-legged, half deaf musician.

You can't change it, what Zap said is true.
The option is there because some people want to connect to a guitar amp that's not a DT, so the options are there for those people to switch on the tone correction options. Studio direct is best for FRFR amp/speakers, if you're plugging into a guitar amp, you're better off using the corrected output.
A way around this is if you use a standard 1/4" connection from the output of the POD and feed it into either the front of the DT amp or the loop return rather than using the L6LINK. Doing it this way will make it like connecting the POD to any guitar amp.

most excellent point
Thanks guys - I get it that I cannot do what I want. Will change all the patches to Combo Pwr Amp then they will not sound different. Crusty using a 1/4" cable kind of negates the whole dream rig purchase. Could have got a DrZ etc. but I am really happy with the features and sound of the DT25.
In case anyone is interested I have set the FXLOOP on FS4 in all patches. Then that sends a midi change on MIDI CH 16 to the M9 where I mainly just use Spring reverb and Delays This has allowed me to use the full amps which I find are better than the PRE's and I have a lot of what I call XOVER presets that have a Clean and a Cruchy amps (using FS1) without worrying about running out of DSP power. Even have a preset that crosses-over from acoustic to electric pressing FS1 - go figure...
Cheers
yeah, i did the same thing with the M5 in the loop... super easy to do and takes a load off.....
