do this: When you were updating the HD500's flash memory the location you're at experienced a power cut mid update. This will mean that the firmware update did not complete properly and therefore you must re-flash the flash memory again. Try this: Hold down the HD500's left 4 way Nav Pad button when you apply power. This will clear the HD500's Global Parameter settings, Next, unplug the power, hold down the right 4 way Nav Pad button as you apply power. This will place the HD500 in TEST mode or SAFE mode. With the HD500 in TEST mode, retry the flash memory update option and when asked DO NOT save your existing presets. Hopefully this will work.
