Phantom power not working at all

Turned on stagescape today and tried to hook a condensor mic to channel no. 1 and got no sound. Only hiss buzzing type sound. Found by using another mic and cord that it was the phantom powering. It was not working on either set of the phantom power buttons. I know there was a problem with the second phantom powering but now its both. We need a firmware update soon.

If no condenser microphone worked at all it seems that there is a hardware problem. This could be a cable that is not wired correctly e.g. pin1 and pin3 are connected. A cable like that would work fine with dynamic microphones but not with phantom power. If it is not that it looks like the mixer has a hardware problem and should be replaced.

  It worked before with the same mic and cord so all of a sudden something went wrong. Did the hardware all of a sudden fail. I'll check the cord but I doubt that's it cause it did work before.

    Looks like your right about the hardware problem reset the machine back to original setting and still have the same problem. Starting to wonder about quality contol on these units. This is the second defective unit I've had. Each unit had different defects. But the concept of SS is so good it's hard to go back to the alternative so I guess I'm on to my third.

      Got my 3rd soundscape (after 2 returns) and so far everything is working fine.
