Line 6 Monkey not launching

HI everybody, well first of all let me tell you that I am surprised with the quality of Line6 products, I own a pod xt and it works beautifuly, the only issue I have encounter is with the Line 6 Monkey, everytime that I try to launch it, it will stay on the screen searching for all devices Detecting MIDI devices, and it will no go any further, can you please give an advise of what can I do to solve this issue? thanks
Which Operating system are you using.
I have exactly the same problem, "searching for all devices" dialog box halts forever.
POD X3 Live, Windows XP SP3, CPU Intel Q9450, mainboard Gigabyte ga-x48-ds5, 2 GB RAM, nVidia gf 9800.
Does anyone has a clue of a possible cause?
The POD X3 has USB firmware 1.02 and flash 1.15, and I wanted to update the flash to 1.21. Is there another way to update the flash?
Just a suggestion. Maybe you could try and install the drivers for the pod manually first.
I tried installing the latest drivers and gearbox. Still Monkey halts on "searching for all devices". The X3, drivers and gearbox are working anyway.
I installed Monkey in my laptop and it worked fine there (Vista). But latest Monkey didn't allow the flash update nor showed it as available, I had to install an older version to upgrade the flash manually.
Same issue here
Standalone works fine
Works as a soundcard in reaper just fine
Gearbox sees the kb37 plugged in,
Gearbox needs to authorize, can't
podfarm vst says kb37 not plugged in
Stuck halfway thru "searching for all devices"
manually updated drivers
tried running older versions of line 6 monkey
Disabling all other midi devices on the computer let monkey run
Exactly the issue starts when you have another midi device installed on your computer, once that you uninstall it, Line 6 Monkey will work properly
I unistall all MIDI devices, and still not working.
When you go to http://line6.com/software/?submit=Show&name=Line+6+Monkey and download version 1.62 it says:
| This version of Monkey must be used when updating JTV guitars to firmware version 1.9 | |
| OS: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 |
But I select READ MORE about the articule of JTV guitars to firmware version 1.9 but nothing happens.
What this suppose to mean? I need something else installed to run this driver? Please I need help.
(sorry for my english)
