Hey I have a pod hd500 and my usb port seemed to have stopped functioning. Looks like the central insulating piece is missing resulting in the 2 of the four pins being bent inwards. I was curious to record my new track and now this! -_-
Now as I see it I have 3 options:
1. Fix the pins myself(I really dont want to to do this since Im not much of a pro with electronics or boards)
2. My warranty is yet not over so is this issue covered under warranty? Will they replace the port?
3. Buy the port separately and get it fixed by a professional as I found that the port is very similiar to my HP printers usb port. Is the port available separately in the market?
Please help! I badly want to commence recording.
Also adding I live in Bangalore India and no Line 6 service centers are present
If you haven't done so already I suggest you open a support ticket to deal directly with Line 6 technical support on this issue.

The standard answer is to take the HD500 to your nearest service center. In your case Line 6 will have to direct you.
Thanks loads
I had the same issue. Had to open it up and replace the port myself. To replace the port is the easy bit if you have any soldering experience. Opening of the pedal and getting to the port was a hassle. Try to work through Line 6, and if that doesn't help, I suggest you contact any instrument shops that does basic pedals or PC repair shops that can do work on motherboards. This will void your warranty on it, but in my case a voided warranty made more sense than a non functioning USB port that I use on a weekly basis.
Just my two cents.
Good luck!
