is there a technical spec on the usb connection to check for compatibility? The engenius and samsung arent available in australia except via import and I would rather find something with local support. Also Apple iPads were released here with 4G that didnt function on our bandwidth in australia and they didnt acknowledge until it hit the press. now they only confirm 3G. this makes it a scary environment to try and confirm compatibility.
can this be done on Android?
I would recommend to use the Apple USB to Ethernet adapter with an Airport Express. These are avilable and work very well.
I'm having problem finding these USB WiFi adaptor that support this M20D (EnGenius EUB9801, LinkSys AE1000 and Samsung WIS10ABGN.) Why put a limitation road block for a nice system? I've just bought this system for over $5,000.00 so that I don't have to sit in the control room. I've tried at least 3 famous electronics shop (Microcenter, Best Buy, ....) in my city and none of them carry the above USB WiFi model. They said that the AE1000 is replace by the AE1200 and this model didn't even recognize by the M20D. What to do next? Return the product is my solution. Or why don't you just through a $20.00 product that will work with the system to save your customer time and trouble. Is not that we don't want to buy but because it is not available out there!!!
Thanks,
SAMSUNG WIS12ABVNX works fine as well!
Not EnGenius EUB600 though.
I believe you meant Samsung WIS12ABGNX...
Thanks. That answers my question about that one.
Just orderd a m20d with 2 l3t and waiting !!!
My question: Can i use every wifi-stick with the Ralink RT 3572 chipset? There are a lot more than the ones in the official Line6-list. Especially there are some that i can purchase in germany!
I am using a Apple USB to ethernet adapter and then linked with a ethernet cable to a TP-Link TL-WR841ND wireless router. It's a cheap router but has 2x5dB gain antennas, so it works at greater distances than a USB stick or Airport Express. Works flawless, i have no problems so far, but just used them first time today.
