Pocket Pod Hum noise [SOLVED]

Hi everyone. I'm making this post to tell you that my pocket pod had HUM issues when plugging it into the computer but not with headphones. Didn't matter wheter I powered up with bateries or with PSU.
What I did to solve it was take a simple wire and connect the in plug ground to the amp out ground (or the headhpone out) Not even soldering the wire, just wrap it arround the metal conector of your plugs. Weird thing... but it worked.
That solved my problem.
I hope I made myself clear, english is not my native thounge. Greetings!
Rombus!!! You are a Genius. It totally works, man!!! You are supercool. ![]()
Thanks a million!!!
Glad it worked for you man!
Seriously, I have just bought this unit and have same issue and am supposed to fix an earth issue myself!!!!! Well done for solving it, but this is unacceptable for such a product, mine will be going back next week and will try the Korg Pandora mini instead
Very very poor work by Line 6
Rombus,
You should bring this up in this forum:
http://line6.com/support/community/support/pod_support/otherpods
It could help Line 6 improve their products, or perhaps there are safety issues (I am not an Electrical Engineer) as to why they do not ground it this way. It is probably OK, but maybe someone could get shocked doing this? I have heard stories of people being electrocuted by something as seemingly harmless as a microphone due to grounding issues.
Edit:
I started a thread on this here:
