Problem with the volume pedal

Hi everybody, and thanks for reading.
I've bought the HD500 a few weeks ago and didn't have time to take care of.
Well I started creating my sounds, but I'm used to use a volume pedal when I make concerts with my band.
But I really don't understand how to make it possible. When I move the pedal, nothing happens, with EXP1 and EXP2.
I tried to add an effect 'volpan' on the HD500 edit software, but didn't work.
I tried to add a controller to this effect with the soft, "exp1 or 2" and nothing happenned again.
I don't understand. How can I do ?
Thanks :/
Go into Controllers, select your amp, select "Exp Toe Switch" and then select "Ch Vol" - then Exp1 and set the range to whatever you want. I usually go 0-100%, but that's up to you. Then your foot pedal acts as your volume.
Hello nd_mustang
I did exactly what you told me but it still doesn't work. It 's something I never tried before.
Should I keep a volpan as FX or should I delete it ?
Thanks
Delete it! Sorry. You should only use Ch Vol from the amp in Controller as your volume adjustment.
Still doesn't work :/
Something must be wrong. Actually I can assign the different elements you told be, but it's as if I couldn't save them. Indeed, when I go to another sound, and come back to the first, the controller settings are not saved.
Are you clicking "send selected"??? or maybe "send all"?
Yeah I did it, and actually, the setting is saved.
When I go to the sound signal, to the amp and when I stay clicking on "Enter" I can see that "Exp toe" is assigned to 1.
But the pedal still doesn't work. And there's nothing else in 2,3,4 after the 1 "Exp toe"
Ok, lets try this:
1. make sure that the volume pedal is removed from your fx section.
2. go to Controllers
3. Model - select your amp
4. FS Assign - select EXP TOE SWITCH
5. Parameter - select CH VOL
6. Controller - select EXP-1
7. Minimum - select 0%
8. Maximum - select 100%
9. Click "Send All"
Disconnect your computer.
Pull the power on the HD.
Wait 10 seconds.
Plug back in.
Try it (w/o your computer attached).
Still the same. but I understood something. When I'm on EXP1 the amp is working, and when I push to pass on EXP2, the amp doesn't work.
But there's no change on the volume. Maybe I have to remake it.
Another idea ? Anyway thanks a lot for your help man !
I have to go for about half an hour, I'll be back
I would start over. Seems like something is "stuck".
Ok, thanks man, I'll try to call the Line 6 support so they'll tell me. It's boring when these machines don't work :/
