My M13 is out of warranty. My Tap Tempo/Tuner switch has come loose and almost fallen out, but still lights up. It will not screw back down. Can anyone tell me their real world experience with total cost of shipping it, paying for a switch replacement and having it shipped back?
thanks, Chris
I think the shipping cost might be the biggest variable, and that is different for everyone. What really matters is the cost estimate from your local repair centre, Line 6 authorized ot not. Since it is out of warranty you are not restricted to Line 6 service centres and may avoid shipping charges. Have you obtained any real estimates?
No estimates as of yet. I'm looking to see what I could sell it for with repair costs reflected in my asking price.
you might consider just having your m13 modded:

that way you can get a little upgrade out of your issue.
It's actually really easy to do yourself. You just remove the small actuators, and wire a SPST footswitch to the PCB board. If you can solder, you can do this easy.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
