X3 Live/DT-50 Midi Control

You sure can. Integrate DT50 into your MIDI rig (via the MIDI in/out jacks) and control amp parameters from channel switching on up, or pass MIDI through the amp from your POD HD multi-effect pedal.
More Specifically, can I use and control the new amp models in the DT-50 from my X3L and still use the effects in my X3L?
What do you mean by "on up" in the above FAQ?
When and if I do, what is the signal chain? X3L Guitar In (or Variaxe), Live Out to DT-50 Front Panel Input, in addition to a Midi cable from the X3L?
Will the DT-50 send usable and storable Midi Info to the X3L via a second MIDI cable?
MIDI implementation on the DT50 amps is not yet available as the amp is not available either, so this is current speculation.
1) You should be able to switch between channels A and B on the amp via MIDI, however, implementation as to what the POD X3 Live will control is not available.
2) Not sure what 'on up' means just yet as full MIDI implementation is not (publicly) available yet.
3) The signal chain will still be whatever manner you choose to connect the POD to the DT50. The MIDI connection does not provide an alternate signal chain. If you choose to have the POD in front of the amp, that would be: Guitar->POD->DT50. Whichever inputs or connection configuration you choose to use will still be the same as any other amp.
4) Not sure what kind of MIDI info the DT50 will send to the POD at this time as implementation is not available at this time for this unreleased product.

So what about now? I'm trying to use my X3L as a midi interface to update the firmware on my new DT25 - getting nowhere.
none of the pod's work as a midi interface... you will need to pick up a seperate interface...
i'd recommend the m-audio UNO...
but i have successfully updated with the cheap 5$ usb/midi cable from ebay, just not as reliable.
Thanks for the reply
