Having problems using POD Farm with UX2 in Logic Pro

Hi guys,
I have a UX2 which originally came with Gearbox but I have recently installed PodFarm 1 (I was told by a friend this was a free option without having to pay extra for the PodFarm 2.5) - It works fine as a stand alone unit (I think it's called tone monitoring?) But when I search for it in Logic as a plug-in, under Line 6 it just comes up with the options Gearbox, PodFarm 2.5 (this must be the trial version) and then a list of PodFarm things such as PodFarm Amps, PodFarm Delays, PodFarm Modulations e.t.c but I can find the all inclusive PodFarm 1 (like the stand alone unit).
I have tested the Gearbox and Podfarm 2.5 trial via plug-in in Logic and I only get the dry signal, but when used as stand alone units they sound fine. I have updated the versions/monkey. Could someone please help as I've spent hours trying to figure this out!
Cheers
I'm a little unclear, do you have to pay separately for the Podfarm plugin version? After re-scanning the plugins from within Logic - I get the following Audio Unit Validation Result for PodFarm:
PUBLISHED PARAMETER INFO:
# # # 162 Global Scope Parameters:
ERROR: Parameter did not retain set value when Initialized
* * FAIL
--------------------------------------------------
AU VALIDATION FAILED: CORRECT THE ERRORS ABOVE.
--------------------------------------------------
validation result: failed validation
updating properties of AU POD Farm by Line 6...done.
Anyone?
54 views and not one response? :S
The older Toneports (red faced) originally did not come with the plug-in, I am guessing this is your situation.
You do get a free upgrade to POD Farm 1.12, which replaces Gearbox, but it is only the standalone.
The newer POD Studios (black face) come bundled with PF 2.5 including plug-in.
In the future, if you mark your post as a question you are likely to get more replies sooner, but weekends are usually scarce.
You can also contact Line6 directly via a support ticket or phone:

OK, So I've just bought the new UX2 and installed what I THINK is Podfarm 2.5 however it just says PodFarm 2?
I'm still unable to get any signal when trying to use it as a plug-in with Logic... but when I use it as a stand alone unit it works perfectly...

Make sure Software Monitoring is enabled in Logic.
You need to run Monkey to update everything. If you have PF 2 and not 2.5 you probably used the disc.
After you have everything updated run the License Manager.
I didn't use the disc, I download from the site... I have already ran Monkey and the License Manager
if you didn't pay extra for pod farm 2, you only have a pod farm 1 license... (which is true for any ux2 that shipped with gearbox originally)
you also have to have the device plugged in with pod farm 1.... hardware independence is a feature of pod farm 2.5 not version 1...
so make sure you have pod farm 1 installed, and your ux2 plugged in, and then authorize the ux2 in the license manager... not the computer.
I have just bought the new studio UX2 which comes automatically with Podfarm 2 as far as I'm aware... I got rid of my old UX2 purely for the reason I thought the new one would have the capability of being able to use PF 2.5 as a plug in so I can record re-amp tracks
okay, then you should have a pod farm 2.x license.
EpicusFuror,
Are you saying you purchased a new UX2 POD Studio (black face)?
Correct
This is the 2nd link that comes up in Google when searching Pod Farm 2.5 - I downloaded the top link which is entitled
| POD Farm 2 | ||
| POD Farm Installer Mac | ||
| Version 2.55 Released 8/29/12 | ||
I have the Black faced UX2 Studio - have updated monkey and licence manager and am STILL not getting the plug-in version to work. The UX2 meter readers don't even seem to be showing any signal in plug-in mode but as a stand alone going straight through to Pod Farm WITHOUT using Logic/plug-ins it works :S
Anyone?
???
Do you have other plug-ins working successfully in Logic?
Yes, I use EZ Drummer and have used other plug ins in the past no problem
OK problem solved - I re-installed the driver again and it's working
One last question.. when I want to export tracks totally dry for re-amping do I just use the bypass and bounce the track?
pod farm is pants u got ripped if you bought it and no it does not work with logic like they say.
it is very unstable stay awzAy from anymore purchases and there is no customer service.
have you tried calling customer service... they are very real... i'm in touch with them pretty much daily.
You can capture wet and dry simultaneously with the UX.
If you captured a dry track and add the PF 2 plug-in, just turn the plug-in off when you render.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
