HD Edit for OS devices iPads & iPhones?

Any chance L6 is looking to develop an HD Edit app for iPhones & iPads.  I use my HD500 at church and sometimes i'm trying to find different tones and patches just using the controls on the unit itself.  Once in a great while I will have my laptop handy to pull up HD edit.  But another great option would be for HD edit to be available on the iPad or iPhone.  At church we use www.planningcenteronline.com as our planning tool and also use their music stand app for charts.  It would be fantastic to have and editor avaialble on the iPad because it is always with me when i'm playing.  If there is something specific tone wise I need or want or if an idea hits me, I can accomplish it much easier using edit than I can on board.

I am also willing to pay something for it as well as I know R&D would cost something.  At least a few bucks is worth the convience for me.

Thanks

highly doubt this will ever happen, and if it did you'd also have to buy hardware because the 2 things do not natively have compatible connections.

currently this is achievable, but only indirectly, and you need a mac laptop, and an ipad/iphone connected to the laptop via Air Display... http://avatron.com/apps/air-display

I don't know if the laptop can be pc with an ipad or not - the link should clarify things.

So you would connect your pod to the computer, and control pod edit via the ipad screen, which controls the computer.

The ideal would certainly be for L6 to not only upgrade pod edit, but also to release it in ipad app form. An ipad camera connector kit is needed which can be picked up cheap all over the place.

There are so many requests for this idea, or that idea that L6 have to choose what's worth following up.....

Maybe all their research is going ino combining the DT50 and the PodHD into one all-powerful amp/fx setup at an affordable price???? (just sayin..)

No harm in putting in a request through the official channels tho!

      Hmmm...

I could see it on a tablet because of the larger screen but on a small cell phone android screen, I don't think so. I can't imagine actually being able to select a patch within the "Set List" view/page.

So go old school and just remember your banks and patches. At our church, I'm able to use one patch per song and I toggle on/off reverbs, delays and extra crunch. We typically do four songs so I set it up sequentially: within bank(1), song 1 = patch 1, song 2 = patch 2, etc... that's one bank with 1 patch per song. We also have a typed setlist so if you do also, you could write down the bank/patch next to each song.

      or...

      You could bring your laptop?

At a push one could use a) a laptop connected to the POD with HD Edit and a VNC server running then 2) client running on your tablet device or whatever to control the laptop interface.  It is a crude way of working though and I don't  think it would be particularly slick or easy.

I recommend spending more time using the controls on the POD itself.  It is obviously  far less intuitive than HD Edit but is actually not that difficult to get fluid with once you use it for a bit.   You can do pretty much everything that can be done with HD Edit.  I actually do 95% of my editing using the controls as I cannot be bothered to plug my PC in.   I mainly use the Laptop for backing the POD up and upgrades.
