HD 500 ReAmping

Hi guys,
Only been an owner of a POD HD 500 for about 3 months now and am liking it so far.
I like plenty of wet FX during tracking but I record a s/pdif out set to dry via my Motu 2408mkIII into Sonar X2.
That works fine but for the mix I like things much cleaner and dryer than my monitor mix on the analogue outs.
I am sending my dry track out its own seperate out on the Motu and have tried it directly into the 500 adjusting the input impedence
to get the best sound I can sending back in via s/pdif wet and monitoring this. I have also made shift a reverse DI using a resistor to try and get the impedence like a guitar in and it is nearly there.
I been practicing my foot switching and pedal moves! lol Fun stuff.
Anyone actually doing this, especially with a reamp device?
Before I rush out and buy a real good expensive reamp box I thought I'd find out if it works.
I know that the Fractal Axe does reamping and it would be good to get the 500 reamping then it is truely versatile and exactly what I need.
Cheers

Nothing has been officially said in this regard. We can only hope it will eventually have all the recording capbilities the XT and X3 had. I'm assuming it's in the works but since nothing has been said, it's a big assumption. I wish someone from Line 6 would at least say it is or isn't going to happen.
What is the difference that made the earlier Xts etc suitable for reamping to.
It looks like a simple case of a reamp box to get the line level back to a guitar level in.
Before I bust out on a reamp device I will continue to see if I can get a configuration on the 500 to work with less noise.
If I can get it to work well I'll post my findings.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
