Im plugging left stereo out from my synth into the x3 guitar input & right stereo out from synth to the x3 aux input... panning x3 outs left/right stereo using spdif into my alesis io26, that as well has been panned into my monitors. Im hearing phasy mono ish sound. pls tell me where Im going wrong!
Check your X3L s/pdif sample rate and make sure it matches the alesis rate.
yes we're all good there... they lock at any rate I chose (with patience)... it might be the processed effects from the x3 are overlapping right in the middle of the stereo field... Im gonna try panning the x3 at @ 1030 & 130 on the clock to see if the phasy mono goes away
Oh - I just remembered another wierd little bug in the X3 re: panning. If you pan the channels fully L or R there is a little bleeding of the signal into the other channel. For best results, back the panning off a tick or two on each channel, say to the 98% level on each side.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
