Hi guys
Was wondering if anybody could help me with getting a suitable tone in Pod Farm 2. Been trying really hard but every tone I make seems lifeless and flat! I understand that I need to fool with the 4 band EQ but unsure of where to start.
Here are some clips from youtube of people using the same guitar as me and getting good results with Pod Farm.
This one has a great tone. Guitar sounds great, similar to the sound I am after. I can't even get it to sound that high without it turning into fizz city! Anything less just sounds dead. Driving me crazy, dont know whether its the guitar or equipment...

Help/advice on 4 band eq settings would be completely appreciated! I have a Toneport UX2, a brand new guitar lead and a fairy new LTD SC-607B guitar. My Pod Farm software is fully up to date.

You could ask them if they are willing to share his settings.
You probably know this, but the guitars are tuned down to D or possibly drop C.
Sound also comes from the fingers.
The 2nd clip is most likely (at least) double tracked.
And they probably have the Metal Pack add-on.
I asked him but he had forgotten it and desnt have ithe patch anymore as he now uses the Axe FX. I have the Metal Shop expansion pack and have tried all the amps, but still struggling.
Maybe I could share some of my tone samples here so people can tell me what they think?
You could post samples and in this forum or here:

Although tone request many times do not get many responses.
You could also search here for a starting point.
For starters you might try a TS in front of one of the high gain amps, and don't crank the drive up too much.
Also, you might be coming in too hot, so you could try the PAD input.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
