Frets

With the jumbo frets I am heavy handed I guess you call it and alot of times I push the B string out of tune when chording, esp. with a D chord.

Would having the frets takin' down some help with this. I have the JTV 59

    Yes - I had the same issue with the JTV-59. I hade my frets replaced with standard (not Jumbo) frets.  My guitar tech guy suggested I replace the frets rather than dress-down the existing frets, and I went with his suggestion. I am hapy with the results.

        I had to take my first one back. The one I have now I don't have the problem of it going out of

        tune on b string because of my heavy handedness. Amazing how same built guitars play and

        feel so different. The one I have now is also easier to play. These old hands aren't what they

        used to be. Ended up with a Tobacco Burst and must say I am growing into liking it over the

        Cherry Burst.
