Have an XT Live, looking to upgrade to a HD500 question.

Are my tones able to be transferred from my XT Live to an HD500? Are they two separate things/file types altogether? Like apples and oranges?
Thank you in advance,
RD42
Apples and Oranges. You'll need to hand build your patches. Also realize that the HD500 does not have all of the amp models that the XT has. On the plus side, once you get your patches tweaked it, it sounds fantastic. Over the years, I've graduated from PODxt, to PODx3, to HD500. I've never looked back ![]()
BigChas52,
Thank you for answering this so quickly.
Since you had an XT before, do you feel the jump in quality is that great? Basically, worth the transition?
Yep! The HD has a much more organic feel. There is a significant difference. On the other side, there aren't nearly as many amp models. If you use one of those that isn't included in the HD500 you'll need to experiment to find another that works for you. I gig with mine almost weekly and have found a few patches that I'm very comfortable with.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
