I was recently given an oldschool cat5 only FBV Shortboard, I already have 1 with my flextone III.  I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to possibly modify it to be a midi controller. I don't care about the screen working I just want to use it as a midi controller for my pod farm 2.  Any ideas? I look at the inside and I see that if I changed the board out to an Arduino type controller I could make it work but i would lose my expression pedal because it appears that it is monitored by some kind of proximity sensor...Well just looking for some help for a cool project.
