What do you think about my news tones?

Hello, I am starting to intruduce my self into the homestudio POD HD context. I have 4 basic presets, are very different to the normal sounds that I found on internet, so I don´t know if sound good in others computers. Please, any opinnion will help me for have a better tone in a homestudio context.

    the sound of the patches don't change depending on the computer used, but only on the equipment used: guitar and eventual external amp connected ..
    I think would not be a bad idea if you could record some audio clips, to let us hear how     your patches should sound like..

      This is a great point.

       

      There are many patches kindly shared on customtone, but dependant upon equipment there may be mutch tweaking required to get close to the sound as it was designed.

       

      As such, although I am grateful for all the patches posted, it is a shame that in many cases the equipment (and at the very least, the guitar and guitar settings) are not always shared with the patch.

       

      One can make reasonable efforts to get as close(ish) to the sound of a different guitar (e.g. strat to LP) using your preferred methods. Once this is done you could (DSP allowing) apply the same technique to the patches posted where a different style of guitar is used. This wouldnt remove the need to tweak the patch, but it would allow a closer starting point.

        Hello, thanks, that is the point.

         

        My important point is the behaviuor that have the sound with the eq in the middle of the chain, you can prove giving "on" and "off" to the eq and listen the big different that have the presets only with that. The sound will lose the plastic sound and will have more natural bass, mids and treble. At least with the 2 guitars that I did the proves and 3 speakers (computer, TV with HDMI connection and monitors with flat eq). Are presets for use with the computer or flat monitors.

         

        Shure that have a good theoric fundament, but even with that the result is so obvius and different with all the patches that you can download from customtone. I did the comparisson with 2 more persons, we thought that this type of presets sound more natural for the complete frecuences response.

         

        I will try to record something the next weekend and do the "v/s" with the presets with more star from the customtone.

         

        I bougth the Alto Tourmax sxm112a, that will be the max test but I need wait 1 week more. The GAS is more powerfull even if I need have a relax time for medical instructions
