Newbie - Need a Boost Switch

I am extremly new to both HD500 and DT50. I am looking on how I would setup to have a boost in volume on various channels for soloing. I have tried with my limited knowledge but have been unable to accomplhish any type of setting. I tried assigning the volume pedal but want more of a one button punch. Any ideas? I would appreciate any suggestions!

    I used to do this with the studio EQ I think (it was one of the EQs on the pod that has a gain or output or level control).  You leave the other EQ settings at neutral and up the level by how much you need and than set the eq fx to be off.  Then Configure a footswitch on the POD to turn it on as you need it.

     

    That's a vol boost
