Pod XT Pro Lack Of Bottom End

Hi folks, I'm new to the forum but have been using a  Pod 2.0 for a few years and love it. I just got a Pod XT Pro from my local music store in mint condition that came in on a trade, my dream machine. I love Line 6 products. I'm having a bit of difficulty getting used to the Pod XT Pro in comparison to the Pod 2.0.

Here's my setup. I run directly out of the Pod 2.0 (Direct Mode) using two left and right quarter-inch outs which run into my Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 which is in turn, is connnected to my Late 2009 iMac (running Snow Leopard) via FireWire. I'm using the very latest version of GarageBand v6.0.5.

The Pod 2.0 has been a real workhorse and has a very noticeable bottom end (I have the bass cranked right up, naturally). It sounds great. Everything works perfectly and I normally use the Modern Higain Amp Model with either Delay/Chorus 1 or Delay Compressor. Very few tweaks.

I run the Pod XT Pro into my system in the exact same way using the back unbalanced analog outputs and no matter which Amp Model I use, I don't get the same bottom end - it is much 'tinnier' sounding. Again, the bass is cranked right up. I use a pair of M-Audio Studio Pro 4's with  4-inch drivers that really kick butt. When I play my Dean Cadillac through the Pod 2.0, these things sound like a real Marshall but this isn't the case with the Pod XT Pro rack mount unit, due to the lack of bottom end.

I must be doing something wrong. I absolutely love the additional sounds in the Pod XT Pro but being a drummer (aside from a guitar player), I love the thick bottom end of the Pod 2.0 but am having a difficult time getting any deep bottom end out of the Pod XT Pro. Am I doing something wrong? Perhaps I need to tweak something? Shouldn't this unit have the same, if not better, bottom end response as the Pod 2.0? Maybe I'm set to studio instead of direct but I'm positive it's direct. Again, I'm just getting used to this unit but I wonder if anyone else out there has experienced the same problem.

Thanks for any help!
