Volume vs. Master Volume

Ok, so here's another silly question.  I am curious as to how people set up their volume and master volume controls on the HD 500.  Do you prefer to keep master volume low and volume high or visa versa, and why.  Thanks.

the trick is to set the master volume where it's comfortable...

and then use the other volume to change the volume on your patches... (and SAVE them!!!)

then you use the master volume to raise or lower your overall volume to fit the venue or situation...

for the most part... you set the master and leave it alone... do all your editing on the other volume.

not exactly what you were asking... but it sounded like you might not have understood the point of the 2 volumes.

Master Volume at or near full for best S/N ratio.

The patch volume needs to be set where it gives you the correct volumes in relation to your other patches.  For example: I have a high gain sound that's about half volume but when I switch to a clean sound it's almost full volume to keep the two patches at the correct volumes to each other.

Just to note for dream rig owners. If you are running into a DT amp the Master wil dertermine tube saturation so the above suggestions are great only for the pod alone.
