Pod HD500 Output Issue

Hey guys, been having an issue with my Pod lately, seems as though it's only really outputting on the Left channel, through headphones and main outputs.

When I use a stereo effect such as a reverb or delay, I can hear the effect on both sides, though still only hear the string hits on one.

I have reloaded the flash memory and drivers in an attempt to correct the problem, but, to no avail.

I've checked all through the settings and nothing jumped out at me that was off, so if anyone knows that would be wonderful, need it back working correctly.

Thanks!

I haven't sat with my POD to try this, but could it be that you have your input settings as Guitar/Variax, or similar, running into stereo effects?

As each of the PODs two channels is a stereo channel, would that not give you a mono dry signal with a stereo wet signal?

Try either putting a mono-summing effect at the start of the chain, or changing to guitar/guitar or guitar/same and see what happens.

Very odd.  I would have gone for input settings too.

Silly question:  how are your Pan's set in the mixer?

        I would try two things:

        1)  Backup and restore the patch using HD Edit.  If there is some kind of corruption in the patch, this may help strip it out,

        2)  Try manually rebuilding the patch from scratch.  This is obviously a pain in the back end but in the process of rebuilding you may spot the problem.

Also, when you reloaded the flash memory did you do a global settings reset also?  hold down the 'left' button on the directional keypad and power up the Pod.   This does a global settings reset and can help.  It is also useful if the preset you were working with was corrupt as it jumps you back to patch 1A.  If you use this, you will need to check your global settings to make sure they are how you want them.  You will also need to recalibrate your expression pedal (details here -->http://line6.com/support/docs/DOC-2223).  None of your homemade presets will be lost but your setlist names will be renamed to the default names.
