Rechargeable Batteries For Pocket Pod?

Is anyone successfully using rechargeable batteries in their pocket pod ... If so, which ones? I'm fine even if they only last a few hours and require everyday charging. I don't really want to use a power supply or have to purchase a set of non-rechargeables every two days.

Also, does running it connected to USB on my computer help slow the battery drain at all?

Sorry if this has been addressed but I'm new to the forum and couldn't find any current information on this subject ... just some old posts from 2009.

Thanks.

Re: Rechargeable Batteries For Pocket Pod?

there was a big discussion on rechargeable batteries in the last forum. and the main points seemed to be that the voltage from nicad and nmh batteries is 1.3vdc. not enough for the p.p. i'm not sure what the voltage is for lithium. rechargeable alkyline are an acceptable choice. if the rechargeable lithium batteries are 1.5vdc, i'd get those.
