Pod HD desktop and legacy foot pedal

Evening all...I am thinking of getting the new POD HD and was wondering if it would be compatible with my older version FBV Shortboard. This would be pre Mk II (or whatever the newer one is). Connectivity wise it looks like it should be fine, but I thought I'd check it out with the group first.
