Installing Kaoss pad on JTV 59?

I really want my JTV 59 to be the be all, end all guitar.  I have the Roland GR55 with the GK3 pickup taped to my guitar, but I want a little more manipulation capability on the guitar itself.   Has anyone installed a kaoss xy pad on their JTV 59?  Is there even enough internal clearance to pull it off?
