My shortboard Mk2 won't calibrate. It will keep reading "CHECK VALUE 0" , It dosen't wan't to read "CHECK VALUE 127".
I have been through the re- calibration procedeure a dozen times, watched the video, re-installed the latest flash....
I have tried it connected to my POD and my commputer via USB. All the other buttons function perfectly,
I can even switch the "volume" light to the "wah" light with the pedal.
Any thoughts????
Thanks.
Have you tried a different CAT5 cable?
HI, no I haven't tried another CAT5 cable yet,But I have tried different USB cables with my computer,
and it still wouldn't calibrate,I'm not actually sure if you can even calibrate it connected to a USB??
It seems line6 need to have a good look at these shortboards, because alot of people seem to be having
calibration issues with them straight from the factory.
You definitely need to disconnect the USB connection to calibrate. You haven't mentioned if you have a Spider amp, but as you need to connect the CAT5 cable to do the calibration, an amp is needed (I don't think PODs have this connector).
Here is the proccedure:
FBV Shortboard Mk. II: (Note: Before performing the calibration routine, please disconnect any expansion expression pedals IE: EX-1)
1) Hold the D button while connecting the CAT-5 cable on the FBV. The display will read “CALIBRATE PEDAL” until the D button is released, at which point it will read “1 PEDAL TOE”.
2) Press and hold the internal pedal toe-switch until the LCD changes to “2 PEDAL MIN”. This should occur instantly.
3) Set the heel to (minimum) position, press the D button. The LCD will change to “3 LCD MAX”.
4) Set the toe position (maximum) and press the D button. The LCD will change to “CHECK VALUE 127”.
5) Move the pedal and verify that the value reaches 0 in the minimum position and 127 in the maximum position.
6) Press D to exit
OK, I have a BASS PODXT version 1.01.It does have the CAT5 connection, which I have tried, but to no avail,
that's why I thought I might try the FBV with my computer via USB.So it looks like I'll either try another CAT5,
or it will need to be sent off for service,which for me would mean posting interstate,as that is my nearest service provider.{Pain in the neck.}
OR....maybe I need to update my bass pod driver or something like that?
Thanks.
I too cannot get it calibrate, stays on the "CHECK VALUE 0". I dont have anything else connected.
Did you ever find a solution to this? Same exact problem I'm having.
Are you trying to calibrate your FBV while plugged into a Spider amp?
