I have the "HD POD PRO" rack mout and the "FBV SHORTBOARD MKll". when using the looper function (function 1)

I will record then let the loop play. but when i exit out of the "looper function" (function 1), I will switch my settings to do a solo overdub

however the already recorded loop has switched effects. how can i make the "lopper Function" remain the effect

recorded the track in. also can i change what " A, B ,C, and D" do in the "looper mode".

If somebody could help me with this it would be
