Periphery POD HD Pro Tones--Deadhorse Studio

Hello all! My name is Lincoln, and I go by Rawritslink on the forums/tones.
I'm pretty new to the Line 6 POD family, but recently, I've been really into tone-matching, and wanted to give some awesome tones out for everyone---to the Periphery fans!
How I got these tones:
I took a deep look at the settings Misha Mansoor and Adam "Nolly" Getgood had in their Axe Fx II tones they recently release a couple days back.
I matched exactly what they had for those settings via Pod HD Edit, and tested them out...turns out that on the POD HD Pro, they sound SICK!
Anyways, enough of the nerdy stuff, here are the tone names:
"Erised" - This tone wasn't released on the Axe Fx, but I spent a good 2 hours or so getting the certain parameters accurate and glassy-sounding. If the delay is set at 315ms, you can play the intro ambient guitar of "Erised" by Periphery.
"Bulb Lead Patch" - Very ampy and full, this is one of my favorites. First time I dialed this in, I was amazed with how accurate it sounded!
"Bulb Rhythm Patch" - Misha Mansoor's personal rhythm tone...when dialed in, it sounds pretty darn close to the actual axe fx tones he created...but on the much cheaper, better Pod HD Pro!
"Bulb Clean Patch" - This one is kinda iffy, considering there isn't a HD Amp model of a Bogner Shiva. It sounds meh, but you all can switch things around until you're pleased.
"Nolly Rhythm Patch" - Nolly's personal rhythm tone...when dialed in, it sounds like Misha's, except slightly more aggressive and crisp.
Look for these in the Custom Tones! And if you like the tones, please support me and like my studio page!

Enjoy everyone!
UPDATE 2/10
I have a little tone test put up for those who wanna hear what they sound like in action (just the bulb tones tentatively). Keep in mind that this is just on a 6-string. I don't want to try them on my 7-string, because it has active pickups.

UPDATE 2/15
Jake Bowen just released his patches, and I've attempted to duplicate them based on his Axe Fx Patches. The cleans don't sound as great, again due to the lack of a Bogner Shiver model on the Pod HD Pro, but I tried my best anyways. On another side note, I also finally got to doing Nolly's Lead Patch. I uploaded these all to the customtone. Here's my description of them:
"Jake Dreamless Patch" - This is a watered-down version of the Red Giant patch Jake out with. I guess you could use this for lead lines in ambient soundscapes or whatever.
"Jake Red Giant Patch" - Definitely an ambient tone. Sounds pretty nice with the reverse delay in it (like he has). Again, could be greatly used for ambient parts in songs, or even soundscapes.
"Jake Lead Patch" - I was kinda disappointed in this one...It's basically his crunch tone, with a delay and reverb added to it. Aggressive and present, nonetheless.
"Jake Crunch Patch" - I actually ended up using the Line 6 "Epic" amp with this one...it had certain characteristics that just made the tone come together. Overall, it's very thrashy and aggressive...PERFECT for rhythm.
"Nolly Lead Patch" - Nolly's personal lead tone...More classic lead-sounding than Bulb (Misha's) lead tone, but with many punchy characteristics of Misha's lead tone. Less ampy-sounding overall.
Again, Look for these in the Custom Tones! Follow/Like me on Soundcloud/Facebook if you like these! ![]()

can the POD HD500 read .hre (POD HD Pro) files?
I have a POD HD desktop, when dowloading the tones i could not open them in pod hd editor so i changed hre to hbe. After that the presets worked fine but not all of them, some where invalid. Will check it out in a couple of days ![]()
Likely this will do the same with the POD HD 500.
bean, 500, and pro can interchangeably use each other's patches, so long as the source patch doesn't use a feature that the target device does not have. For instance, the Pro has many more input options than both the 500 and bean. And the bean has no FX Loop. Then all you have to do is rename the patch to the appropriate extension. there's also this software: http://www.jzab.de/content/pod-hd
Yeah I couldn't open Erised or Bulb Clean Patch. Cool patches though. I'm surprised how much gain they have and how they are using the gates to really shut the gain out after the initial attack.

If you guys can't open it, it might be because of the different models possibly...I'm not sure about it, but I was pretty sure there wasn't much of a difference in the Rackmount and pedal unit (HD500). If you can't open it in anyway, let me know, I'll just type up all the specs and parameters for ya so you can dial them in ![]()
The noise gates tend to tighten the tone, as you probably know. But the compressors bring up the levels and warm the tone, giving the impression that there's more gain, when it's actually just making the tone more aggressive. As well as the gates, even with them on, I can get at least 15+ seconds of sustain, but cut out immediately when I mute. It's pretty sick!
Yep I'm loving that the gates are super tight but have pretty much infinite sustain on notes while playing. Definitely will be using that trick on other patches.
The erised tone sounds great on your soundcloud page. But unfortunately, i can't open it in my hd500 edit. The file is invalid. Could you check both of your clean patches? If there is something, what meambobbo descriped, that could cause this incompatibility. Thanks!
The erised patch that was on my soundcloud page was actually just a prototype tone...I further modded it to change it up. For example...I went from an analog delay w/mod, to a digital delay...it gave it that "pulsing" sound that you can hear in the actual song on their album!
As well as opening the tones, I'd be glad to write out the specs and parameters for you all to dial in manually. ![]()
I can open 3 tones from 5..
1. Nolly Rhythm patch
2. Bulb Rhythm patch
3. Bulb Lead patch
Bulb Clean and Erised where invalid tone data.
But i fixed that listen.. I have 2 pod converter applications on my hard drive.
Before i started the pod converter program i edited the Erised patch and renamed it.
1.The original: Erised.hbe
2.The edited one: Erised.h5e. Yes you put a 5 in between.
3.Now start one of the 2 converters for the pod and search for the file (Erised.h5e) (edit : when choosen file you get a blank window no worries (depends on the software)
4.be certain the little box: Rename .h5e to .hbe is highlighted.
5.Now convert it.. click on the file and voila it opens fully in the pod editor software.
Oh yeah i use the Bean.
Maybe it can also be done differently. Let me know if there are any problems.
Thanks rawritslink for these tones ![]()
That would be great!
Also, i like to share my patches aswell. Here's one of my favourite rhythm presets for modern metal:
Very nice work guys!
That Eriesd tone is amazing ![]()
Thanks alot for posting this!!!
Great Sounds!! Thanks!!! I'll like your facebook page when I get home..
Hei guys, Jake Bowen just released his tone patch form axe fx. Can u get busy with them?:D
Done.
The clean ones may not sound as awesome, because of the lower amount of DSP on the Pod HD Pro. I tried though, you might have to mess around to get it to that "YES!" point.
I`m downloading them now. Can`t wait to hear them ![]()
I just checked Jake`s patches that you posted. They sound ok, but i like Misha`s patches more ![]()
Good job man ![]()
Yeah, just by putting Jake's tones together, I figured they weren't going to be my favorites. Misha's been obsessed with tones for awhile, so I would expect nothing less from him lol.
Really great job mate my favers are misha and nolly leads and rhytms , thanks for sharing !!!
Here are 3 demo`s i made ![]()
Its Misha rythm, Jake rythm and the Erised tone.
Enjoy ![]()
