Bass Pod Pro - no power, blank screen

Hey,
I just purchased a used Bass Pod Pro on e-bay, advertised as fully functional (and seller assures me it worked fine prior to shipping). After a quick initial setup, hooking it up to my SWR amp and cabinet, I tried powering it on, but got no response. No lights, no display. Nothing. I had to run for a few hours, and when I came back, I re-checked all connections and tried again. Nothing. So I struck the thing a couple times on the top of the casing, and lo and behold, it turned on. This gave me a decent 30 minute session to test out some of the tones before putting it to bed for the night.
Today I tried to power it up again, but no response. Blank. No sound. Checked all connections, tried a different power supply, gave it a couple more taps. Nothing working. Opened the lid, and all connections appear to be intact. Nothing is loose or rattles.
Any thoughts or suggestions? I think the safest bet is to return this thing while I can. I'm not about to pay for a service repair on an item that, quite frankly, is obselete anyway. If there are any potential quick fixes, however, I'm all ears.
