I have a Pod HD Bean and was wondering if it is possible to use the Pod X3 Live as  as a kind of  AD-HOCK FBV shortboard MKII controller for the HD Bean without altering the standard functionality of the X3?

Or perhaps this: An FBV shortboard mk2 to controll both an HD Bean & an X3 Bean? I'd be using a stereo A/B switcher to move between one OR the other, not both.

The reason why is this, sonically I MUCH prefer the clean/ cleanish tones on the X3 BUT i MUCH prefer the touch-sensitive break up for overdriven tones on the HD.
