Transmitter cable problem

The transmitter cable seems to have shorted out. All the lights come on the transmitter and the reciever and the batteries are good but no sound comes out. I can hear a crackling noise come thru the amp when I wiggle the transmitter cable...but no guitar sound at all. Anyone have a similar problem? Or a solution. I bought it in July and only used it twice before this happened,
It does sound like a cable problem. Do you have a G30, G50 or G90? If it is a G30 you can use any ordinary guitar cable to test things out. If it is a G50 or G90 its pretty easy to repair a cable if you or someone you know is handy at making up your own cables.
There are a number of ways to get a replacement:
1. Contact your retailer or Line6 customer support.
2. Order a new one from our website: https://www.globalfulfillment.net/gfsnet/line6/10Browse.aspx?cid=261
3. Pick one up at your local music store, (if it is G50 or G90 then anything compatible with the Shure bodypacks that uses TA4 mini XLR will work as well).
4. Contact redco.com to have them make one for you out of your favorite components.
Your cable should not have failed so soon if you've only used it so little so I would start with customer support. Either way the cable will likely fail at some point and its always good to have a spare cable, just as you would probably carry a spare cable for wired use as well.
