Flextone III Head and Speaker Cab Project

I have built several head cabs and speaker cabs for myself and others but wasn't able to post pics at the time as requested by some on this forum so I've started a new project and I am taking pictures as I go along. The pics can be found here http://riversideguitardave.awardspace.com/flexiii_head_cab_project.htm

    OUTSTANDING!

    Very nice work, Dave.

I have also discovered the WGS speakers, and installed a pair of ETS-65's along with a pair of Veteran 30's in a old MusicMan 4-12 that I re-covered to match my Plexi clone.

    here's a pic,

hi geo, you did a really good job!!!

i'm getting through the same project for my flextoneIII+, but I don't know how to connect the cabs correctly.

I would use just a 2x12 mono cab, 8 ohm; which speaker out is preferred to avoid damages to my Flex?

    ps.:

sorry fo my bad english guys!!

    Very cool Dave!

Do you still have your old empty Flextone III carcase? I am looking to buy one to modify as an extension cabinet. I would love to purchase it from you. I have tried to find a Flextone III extension cabinet w/ (2) 12" speakers, but can't find one.

Re: Flextone III Head and Speaker Cab Project

i am thinking of doing the same thing to my 2 Flextone III's i have.. i split my guitar signal into each combo and run different amp configurations together to get an overall tone that I'm pleased with.. to lighten the load, i was thinking of detaching the heads, making an enclosure for each, much like you did, and then make a speaker enclosure that would carry 2 speakers, each one dedicated to each head, since i generally would only mic one speaker from each combo anyway.

do you have any measurements, lists, blueprints, or anything that could be used to mimic what you had beautifully crafted?
