Can I do this on my M9?

Is it possible to have a scene on the M9 where you can only use one effect at a time? I have a piece where I would need to quickly and precisely cycle through different Pitch Glide presets (not always in the same order, though), and it's obviously impossible to do this when I need to switch between the presets in 1B-2B and 2B-3B, because hitting them at the same time takes me into Setup or Tuner mode. I'm sure the M5 would allow me to do this easily, but I already have an M9. Any way to do it?

    Sure. You can save scenes with as many effects on or off as you want. You can actually save a scene with no effects on if you want.

      What if I wanted a scene with 6 different presets, and I wanted to be able to turn 2B on and 3B off simultaneously?

       

      Added: If I am using 1A and hit 1B, 1A turns off automatically and 1B turns off. Is there any way to setup the M9 so this functionality applies to every combination of footswitches? So no matter which footswitch I hit, the effect that was previously on turns off automatically?

        There's no way to do that within one scene, at least not with just the M9 on its own. You could probably do it if you were using a MIDI controller.

         

        The workaround it to use different scene and use the M9 in latch mode. That way you could just go from one to the other quickly with one step.

            I am finding that scene 1B has a pretty significant volume drop. Every scene is just set up for various values of pitch glide, and the other scenes all have equal volume. I tried reloading all of the settings from scratch into another folder, and 1B had an even greater volume drop. To check, I loaded the same settings into 1B and into 2B and switched back and forth in latch mode with an ebow (for consistent volume). The issue persisted. What do you think I'm missing?

              That's kind of weird. Any chance you have the noise gate on, or on at a higher threshold setting in the problematic scene and not in the others?

                Gate is off altogether. I think this problem might be only in Folders 3 and 4. I'm going to double check that by programming the same sounds into Folder 2, which is not giving me the same problem (different settings in this Folder). Worth a shot. Thanks for helping me out!

                 

                Edit: I did a straight Scene Copy of a working scene into the problem scene, and then fixed the settings, and that seems to have worked. There must have been something set differently...somewhere.
