Looper tone suck?

I'm using the HD500, and I've noticed that when the looper is in the "pre" position, the loop I create sounds exactly like the patch I am using, but when it is in the "post" position, the looped recording sounds thinner and slightly different. Has anyone else noticed a difference in the recording quality between "pre" and "post" in the looper?
1) the looper fx output is mono, your patch probably is stereo, therefore is normal to have some sound difference when it's in post position..
2) if your looper is set on half speed (to get double avaible loop time) the looper output sound quality is lower than that in full speed
Check your Looper settings - there are HiCut and LoCut controls that will affect the tone.
Thanks, guys. That explains what is happening. I will check it out later today.
