MIDI TIMED-OUT?

,When connecting my POD 2.0, using M-Audio via usb, i am prompt with the message:

Update Failed.

 

(Code 8000900C)  MIDI device timedout waiting for a response.

Try the update again and make sure the cables are connected.

 

I have had this pod for a year and havent been able to use its MIDI interface. Any suggestions or a solution would be helpful!
