Pod X3 Live???

Hi,

I had a couple of questions in relation to the Pod X3 Live....

I am am currently using the KB 37 as my audio interface and midi controller. It's pretty good value for money and I have been quite impressed with Pod Farm. I would like to keep it, but for live I am considering purchasing X3 Live to use with my Fender Blues deluxe amp as I would like to utilize the Pod effects aswell as my Pod Farm presets . So I had a few questions I was hoping you could help me with...

I was reading on the site that you can ... "use X3s dual inputs to individually process two instruments—a microphone and a guitar, for example—at the same time". This would be very useful for me as I use vocal effects. However can I send the output of one tone to my amp (guitar) and one to the pa (vox)??

Also if I want to use the X3 in conjunction with my KB37 for home recording are there any annoying set up issues?? e.g. Pod Farm issues with using 2 Line 6 interfaces...

Thanks in advance

    Re: Pod X3 Live???

The X3 Live allows you to input your guitar and a microphone at the same time. And you can process them both at the same time. However, the outputs would be like this: direct out would send your guitar and vocal to the same channel on the mixer, and then "live out" would send either or both guitar and vocal to the amp (you can choose to turn off the vocal output to the live out feeding your amp). The X3 Live definitely allows for great vocal processing, but you definitely have to spend the time in advance tweaking it all to sound right. I'm not sure yet if you are able to split the channels so that you send your guitar signal to one direct out and the vocal signal to a separate direct out. it seems like that would be best, and I want to say it's possible, but I've only had my X3 Live for a few days and haven't mastered that part yet.

X3 (which I own AND use has stereo outputs.  Simply route the guitar input to Tone1 and Tone1 to the Left ouput.  Then route the XLR mic input to Tone2 and Tone2 to the Right output.

I don't know the answer to this question.

    Regards,

    Clay
