Use the image above to try making your name in Morse Code. (Click on the Image to make it full)
Tips
-The most used letters of the alphabet uses fewer dots.
-In the Diagram lines pointing either Left or Right are significant. Going downwards Left will be a DOT, And Downward Right will be a dash.
-Using the "Start" circle as the Reference. each lower level acumulates another character starting at one until six characters total.
E= Dot
T= Dash
I = Dot Dot
M= Dash Dash
G = Dash Dash Dot
Line 6 = .-.. .. -. . -....
are you thinking what i'm thinking? enough of this Texting with the LOLs and OMFGs and tiny keyboards on phones. let's bring back Morse Code! it would be very bandwidth friendly, kids would love it, translation would be automatic so you would just need to learn how to speak it not listen to it--most people are primarily interested in the speaking part anyway.
Yes that would be cool, to make it easier IMO you would just need a 3 key keyboard of some sort, one for the Dot, one for the Dash, and one for the Space!
Maybe have an "Editor" so you can type out the Dots & Dashs into it first, before sending out the message. So you can Fix mistakes this way!
Here is a Higher Res image -.-.--

This page is cool too! LOL
I used to think, "Why would I ever need to learn Morse Code?" But then I saw that movie "Untraceable." That was one creepy movie. ![]()
Morse Code is actually listed as a Form of Binary!
unfortunately, by publishing our idea on a public forum, we have probably just killed our chances for a Patent. ![]()
i would think that it would have great implications for people with limited or no mobility.
if we use this technology: http://www.gearwire.com/jimmielke-digitaltattoointerface.html
we could build the interface into everyone fingertips--index Dot, middle Dash, ring Space.
that is a very strange invention--it creeps me out a little that it's blood powered. it would be cool to tweak your POD or do a mixdown using tattoos on your forearm though. i'd go for a universal remote control tattooed to my palm.
My first thought on that device, is that I would be seriously paranoid going through airport security, even if the device had no detectable metal! ![]()
