Broken Stomp Switches

Hey i heard alot about people with broken stomp switches.

My music store offered something for $10 where it's a warranty for if that happens they replace it?

What is the warranty for this with line6?

Is it just something they want to rip my money from or is it beneficial?

I haven't faced any problems yet, but i find one of my stomp switches kinda gritty and sticky [kinda hard to push down]

Thanks everyone =D

Line 6 offers a lifetime warranty for older X3L's with the original footswitches, which are known to have a failure problem. You can get it fixed free at any authorized service centre. At some point that fix was rolled into manufacturing and newer X3L's have the improverd footswitches straight from the factory. I don't know how the Line 6 warranty applies to these. You'd have to contact Line 6, give them your serial number (which will allow them to identify whether your X3L has the older/newer footswitches) and let them advise you re: warranty.

    +1 what silverhead said.

I would also add, here’s that info on the date code: Serial numbers starting at 5749, i.e. (21) X3L1S 5749 XXXXXX, are the updated ones. I don’t know if this info has been confirmed but it seems to be accurate.

    Hi Avenger28,

Your serial code does not fall into the codes affected by this defect. The new models should not be experiencing this problem. I recommend you take the unit to an authorized Line 6 Service center to diagnose the problem first and if they find out it is a symptom of the defect, then we will cover the cost of the repair.

Give us a call for authorization once you have had the unit looked at: 818-575-3600 and follow the queues to Customer Service and Repair.

    Thanks,

    Line6lm
