As my M9 is down (as is a friends !) due to failed firmware update I was hoping to receive support in a reasonable time. How long does it normally take for Line 6 to respond and why is there no live support ?
Regards,
Ed.
Hello,
We do offer live phone support but we are not open on weekends. Have you clicked on our Contact Us link to see our contact information?

What problems are you having specifically with your M9?
Line6Miller
I rang the UK number today and got told to send an e-mail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great live support, not!
Tony
Who did you speak with on the phone? Do you have a name?
The person I spoke to was the operator for general enquiries, the one you get when you hit 0
It was a women, viki?

Can someone please give me some reply at my topic; there is a bug in the M9 regarding midi sync of all timebased effects exept delays.
I have now sent many posts regarding this, no answer.
I also tried Jon at Luthman, the norwegian importer of Line6, he said I must hope for some help from Line 6, nothing more..
HELP ME PLEASE!
Hilmar
Problems with midi sync for effects:
(I and others do lack response to this matter from Line 6:)
The m9 does not sync properly!
The delays on the unit does sync almost good...(!)
The other effects syncs worse or even bad.(!!)
The resync thing does not help, and it is not possible for me anyway to resync while I am playing, 16th notes 100% wet hard tremolo or ObiWah.
I bought this unit for a main reason; to get effects synced with my bands backing tracks.
Strange stuff discovered: In the setup mode you can see what bpm it is supposed to recieve, but it is showing round and about 0,6 bpm under what is being sent from Ableton Live which I am using. It flickrs around but stays as described long under every bpm that is sent.
I am using a mac, ableton live and a presonus Firebox feeding the midiinput on the m9.
I can see that there are several people needing help on this matter.
We need a fix of this bug in a new update-version. Or is there some other way to fix it???
With a Eventide Timefactor it works much-much better.

hilmarbergendahl, please create a new thread and mark it as a question regarding your issue so we can focus completely on your issue in your thread. That will be beneficial for us and you. Thanks!
toshep, I'll follow up with the UK team and see where the disconnect was. In the meantime, what exactly is happening with your M9? Are you not able to reinstall the firmware int he unit? Does Monkey recognize the device? Does it power on?
Line6Miller
As written in the post; I have posted own threads and in other users threads/discussions, no help, and talked with the importer in norway!

You aint heard from me cos I ot better things to do than trawling forums at weekends, like making music!
Didn't get a reply from the email address I sent my email to, that was the email address given to me by the girl I spoke to on the phone. Helpful? No,not at all, where does this leave us UK guys for support
2 midi interfaces ater and my M9 is updated, maybe there is a problem here, I walked into a local music store, was recommnded a certain interface, spent 30 of our british pounds on it and it didn't work!
Tried to get som support and didn't get that, phoned a few mates, borrowed some gear and got it sorted
Now my expression pedal aint working, am I gonna even think about L6? Nooooo, waste of time!!
It's good though, the M9 that is!
Tony
I am glad you got your M9 sorted.
Can you tell me what is wrong with your expression pedal?
It is utterly abysmal isn't it. As you say - you expect more from support than telling you to trawl through other forums. If you look at how everybody seems to have resolved their firmware update it is by trial and error rather than following any advice from Line6 support. It has certainly tarnished my pereception of Line6 as a company and I would think again about buying any of their products.
Well part of the problem is that with the MIDI updates, a person is always relying a third party USB to MIDI adapter of some sort, and I believe that's probably the root of the vast majority of all the problems people are having with completing the updates. I guess, you could say that the issue is Line 6's own doing because of not putting a USB jack on the M9s and M13s, but that's kind of beside the point now. I just think that when dealing with things like MIDI transfer, things are always going to hairy.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
