I'm tired of making a new thread for all my noodles. So here is one for myself to post in when I have new stuff. So going forward I will just bump this thread if I have a new track. Or you can browse all my songs at either, http://www.riffworld.com/Members/GuitarSlinger or http://www.soundclick.com/slingy but I don't update that one much. Comments are welcome as I'm always trying to improve things.
Ok here is a new track I had alot of fun with. I used an Ernie Ball Music Man Luke guitar and also an MM bass and a PodStudio UX2.

Dude! Sounds great! Really tight. Are you going to do anything else on it? Like vocals or lead guitar?
Slingy,
sounds good, though it seems like it needs something more: (like mikey says) like it needs vocals or more lead guitar. Is there phaser on the guitar? The cymbals sounds phasey also. Probably an mp3 thing?
Aaron you have bionic ears. No it's quite obvious, I can hear it too. The phasing is slightly annoying, but I can live with it. It came from the analog chorus and from using rifflink which makes stereo guitars mono. I could redo, but I just can't spend a ton of time on these. I don't go crazy on the mastering or anything. Eventually, if a song turns out well, I can redo them later. The amp sims are VOX AC30 with Rat distortion on the rhythms and it was fun playing a tiny of bit of slide which I am terrible at.
Cool,
I like it - it's ballsy and it's got some punch. I hear ya - I would rather spend more time playing and less time on the computer. This home recording stuff if pretty amazing. I wonder sometimes if the sound quality don't become more important than the music though...? Even with some of the structured jazz and complicated chord structures, each bar is identical and precise. I always like the dudes who could lay something rockin and hypnotique down, play a chord or a riff and emphasize certain strings and tones like talking - puts the human element back into it. Anyhow - cool
You might consider hooking up with Arron..his vocals might fit in real well with what you are doing...

Here's a little something I started. Whole song is one patch, but used the volume knobs and coil splitting to get different sounds. We'll see where this goes.

Slingy,
I tried a couple of times, but couldn't play your song. I downloaded the mp3 & it wouldn't play either. I'm using a new iMac.
New link. I have all sounds except for the first shred solos and second solo.
Slingy,
Nice! Some very good lead guitar!
Thanks. The good parts were not me though haha. Unless you liked the outro solo, that was me.
slingy-diddy-doo dude,
I liked the outro solo too!
New mix of an old tune. Now on to more projects.

good rock song... quite nice guitar work ... sounds good and well mixed
rock! rock!
I wouldn't mind hearing a few vocals on this, but otherwise it sounds very good!
Thanks Aaron. I updated the file thats about as far as I'm gonna go with that one.
Slingy,
I haven't listened to this in a week, but it does seem to sound slightly better (not sure what changed though).
Two new songs since my last visit here. I think you'll really like them both.
First has me on all rhythm and lead lines. Friends on bass and the two solos in the break.

The second is all me the whole way. I really like this one alot.

Enjoy!
Slingy,
"Reckless": playing is tight! Sounds very good!! I wouldn't mind hearing some vocals on it. Very good recording! "For God Sakes" sounds good also! I wish you sustained the end a little bit. Nice wah: what is it?
It's that Line6 auto wah which is based off some old filter, cant remember its name.
I havn't been around in a while but heres a new one I think you'll enjoy.

Slingy,
Sounds very good! I really like the harder rockin' parts! Drop B eh? Never tried that tuning before. Maybe I will in the future.
Here's a little rough sketch of what I just started. I'm using the dual treadplate all the time for rhythms now and the Adam and Eve bass amp with 8x10 cab

Slingy,
Playing is tight. Guitar riffs are OK, but sound repetitive without vocals. I'm more impressed with the bass tone & riff during the verse. Drums are good.
Ok got that one all finished up, with a little help from some friends.
Slingy,
It does sound better now! Audio quality is nice.
Here's another just finished up some crazy metal.
Slingy,
Sounds good! I'm hoping you'll check out my tune "You Were There" (that I plan on posting before 10 pm tonight).
Heres a new one, Im using the double verb(twin) with lots of effects and classic distortion for dirty stuff. Didnt see your post Aaron, looking for it now.
Slingy,
Thanks for the recent review! I just listened to your latest tune. Everything sounds very nice!![]()
Heres a little punk jam using the doubleverb with classic distortion pedal. Guitar is an Axis. Bass is using flip top with an 8x10.
Thought you guys might enjoy this one. Slow moody acoustic/electric rocker with a friend playing keys.

Slingy,
Parts of this song remind me a bit of Pink Floyd (good!). Sounds nice! Perhaps you could check out my recent music also.
Heres my last song this is an upbeat rocker I entered into Riffrumble 16. I wanted to make a new song but my Line 6 is not working atm. There is also some other new stuff on my profile there.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
