Hello,

I'm a bit confused with the FVB Shortboard (older and newer versions) and the Spider Jam amp.

In the Jam amp operator's manual, it shows pictures and a description of the older shortboard with this amp.  However on the box of the Shortboard, it says that it cannot be used with Spider III series or anything close to the Spider Jam.  I assumed that it could not be used with the Jam so I returned it to the store where I purchased it and brought a MK II instead.  Now, it looks like that I could have used the older version with the Jam amp anyway.

So which shortboard can be used with the Jam amp, the older version or the MK II?

Also for the MKII, what is the exact packaging material inside the box?  I only saw a warranty card, some short literature info, a pilot's guide and a CAT 5 cable.  Is there a power supply adaptor or a full size instruction book that should be inside the box?  I did not see a full version of the operating instructions to download.  Can someone please tell me where I can get it?

What is the MIDI hook up for and how can I get this option with my set up?  Do I have to buy this separately?
