Biography:
I'm a Sydney-based Australian, ...a very lucky bloke. ...I'm currently running a Yamaha EMX5016CF powered mixer, the inbuilt amps of which mainly drive "AUX" feeds, (for example monitors, Haas-delayed "repeater" speakers, dressing/green room "cue" speakers etc.)... ...With the "guts" being delivered by the amazing, spine-saving, spine-tingling self-powered HK Audio "Elements" (two "D-Connect" power amps for eight mid-tops, plus two active subs driving a further two passive subs). ...For outdoor (read wet) events, the HK Audio gear gives way to a magnificent pair of weatherproof One Systems 112IM's, driven by the Yamaha's internal amplifiers. The 112IM's perform superbly, taking full advantage of the YS sub-harmonic "artificial subwoofer" processing that's insertable ahead of the EMX5016CF's kilowatt of amplification. ...The eight-way star-quad Canare multicore I used to lug around has been replaced by Line 6 digital wireless data streaming into two racks of four XD-V70L beltpacks, with D.I. and stage boxes replaced by TA4F to guitar jack adapters, XLF to TA4F adapters and Denecke PS-2 battery phantom supplies. My ninth receiver is an XD-V75 (with its own THH12 handheld) that travels separately in its own Gator case. It's my USB update "future-proofer" as well as forming a stand-alone "toastmaster" mini PA when coupled to either or both of my Gator-cased Mackie SRM150 powered mini-mixer-monitor speakers. ...As if that wasn't flexible enough, I also have the fabulous option of replacing up to a further four of my TBP12 beltpacks with another four Line 6 THH12 handheld vocal mics.
