FLEXTONE III FACTORY RESET

I want to perform a total factory reset of a Flextone III plus amp. I want to reset all channel memories, firmware, amp defaults and so on. How I can do that ? Thanks.

Flextone III: hold the A and D Buttons while powering up for 8 seconds.

I'm not sure about how to ask this. When I do this (reset), I have a dead amp (normal, no access to Line 6, if that's clear, it also appears as if the memory shorts. I can't have six bad cords... I don't...) . This is or was a pawn shop amp. I think it's memory needs to be cleared or reinstalled. I don't know how to do that. Help me, good folks...

I have a Fextone III here in our shop that powers up, all 4 channel switch lights, gate and comp lights stay on and the tap tempo light flashes. After a few min the lights go on and off randomly. I tried the rest procedure, holding down the A and D channel buttons for 8 seconds and longer while turning on the power switch and nothing changes. Any advise?? You can email me at srrait@aol.com.   I had to dig for this one...Man, this is an old thread...
  
  You can boot the Flextone III into a safe-mode holding A on power up. Open the Monkey and flash the firmware...This doesn't really seem like a bricked amp though...Anyhoo, probably worth a shot...
