how do i get a clean tone on spider iv 15 - i.e without the echo? i have reset the amp too - i switch on the amp on the clean channel and the tap light keeps blinking...
Hi,
Save your Clean tone without the Echo effect or Mod effect. Next time you have the amp on, select Clean. Then turn the Echo knob to the right then all the way back to the left (OFF). Do the same for the Mod knob.
To save, hold the Clean button down for 3-5 seconds. The LED's will blink a few times. The Clean sound now will not have any Mod or Echo effect present. Power off the unit, back on and verify that the Clean is still dry as you just recently saved it to be.

thanks - that works! -- I do I now revert back to the factory settings with the echo on ![]()
Hi,
I have a spider iv 15.
Does the trick for saving the "clean" settings also work with the other three channels?
i.e. When you have a setup you like on say crunch, do you just press it until it flashes?
Also when you "save" the setting, will it default to the "last saved setting" when you
switch between say crunch->clean, or will the new amp model take the existing knob
settings?
I think this is a good feature that you should explain in an "advanced" manual (together with
the tuner, boost/gate toggle and "factory reset" settings.
thanks a lot,
Calum
Hi,
I found the answer in the "Spider III 15.pdf" manual.
It's a much better manual than the Spider IV 15 pilot manual.

Channel Memories / Amp Models
The four channels each use a different Amp Model, and all come pre-loaded with a factory preset dialed in to nail a great tone. Press one of these buttons to hear the presets. To replace any preset with your own “snapshot” of all tone and effect knob positions (except Master Volume), press and hold one of these four buttons for two seconds. The light flashes when the save is complete.
Thanks for the "fix" for this aggravating "Bug". I had it figured out that by turning effect knobs to full on then back to 0 I would get it clean, however, when changing to another preset then back to clean, the effects were back on again. The advice of turning knobs full on then off then holding down clean button till other settings flashed saved the clean setting. Now when I turn on amp the clean channel is just that-clean!
