Backtrack wont auto record

My backtrack will only record when I force it to (red light record)

Otherwise the blue light flashes no matter what.

There is also a loud pop at the begining of playback.  (happens when I power off the backtrack without shutting my amp off first)

I wish my twin reverb was running (It has a standby switch)

I tried adjusting the sensitvity with the setup utility with no luck.

    I ended up returning it to the guitar center.  I upgraded it to a Backtrack +mic which has been working fine until last month.

    Now it will at random times flash quickly red then a sequence of long flashes white green blue green green red blue blue until the battery dies or I reset it.

    When this is happening none of the buttons do anything.

     

    Is it time for me to return to the guitar center?
