Veho seems like a U.K. brand. I live in the U.S.
Anyway, I downloaded and tried the SD Card Formatting utility referenced in Joe's Jam Blog on a Sandisk 2GB SD card and that allowed my SpiderJam to recognize the card as being FAT16. With the fw.bin file in the root directory of the card, the firmware upgrade worked perfectly. Now, I'm looking forward to making some wav files to put on the SD card to jam with. Thanks, guys!

Make sure your card is FAT16 only if your running vista or 7 you may have to revert to an older computer. MAC curent software SNOW LEPARD wont allow the 16 format either, it will read but not format. Secondly insert the SD card and turn on the power switch and hold down the Save button at the same time. The only way I got my to upgrade was to push the memory card all the way into the slot, meaning more than just the tradititional insert card. I had to apply pressure to the card during the entire update procedure ALL the way into the slot. I think I might have a bad SD slot.

It seems like only the 1 gig Kingston worked for me.
The "lock" switch appears to be a major problem with card readers. There are a few solutions. such as the taping or repositioning the lock switch.
When I formatted in Vista, it only shows FAT instead of FAT16. If you put the allocation unit size at 16, then the FAT will work.
