LINE 6 DM4 Battery Power not working

i own 2 of these pedals and when i put in batteries the pedal does not work. I checked the battery connectors and they receive power and the power goes into the board but for some reason the pedal doesnt work

This is the first time i tried using pedals for this baby

David,

Does the pedal work with a PX-2 power supply? Make sure you remove batteries when using with a power supply. You can try resetting the pedal by holding the 'A' and 'D' footswitches as you power on the pedal by plugging a 1/4" cable into the Left/mono Input.

If the problem persists, you will need to take it to an authorized service center to take a look:

  the pedal works great with the power supply and the batteries are alwats out. They have never leaked. this is the first time i tried using batteries oon both pedals and both dont work
  
  if i reset my pedal will i loose my delay settings that i have saved?

Yes, Delay settings will be lost from the reset. If the problem persists, it will need to be taken to a service center.
