Padded gigbags for M13?

Hi, I was wondering what folks are using to carry/protect their M13s?

I think a lot of people here have mounted them on pedalboards.  I have mine on a pedalboard from NYC Pedalboards.

YOu can use the POD XT Live bag to transport the M13, together with cables, ac adapter, and two swell pedals. That's what I do and it fits perfectly.

I am using a Targus laptop case that fits like a glove and has extra pockets and storage that comes in handy.  The case was for my old HP 17" book.

CKT500_cases_b.jpgThis is off the web, but it looks just like mine.  I used it last night for going to practice.  it held the M13, power supply, (3) 15' cables, ipod and cable, folder of sheet music, extra strings and picks, all organized.

I hate zippers so I went with this:

Holds the M13, power supply, 2 EX 1s, and related cables.

I HIGHLY recommend this one.... especially if you travel with a guitar in a backpack case in airports and want to bring your M13 with as carry on. Because it rolls it is ideal for guitar as backpack guys and gals. If you've ever tried to wander around an airport with a guitar backpack AND something to carry with heavy stuff in it, you'll know what I'm talking about.

It really amazing actually... and it's a good price for the quality. The zippers are solid.

I can fit the M13, all my cables, 2 expression pedals, a small guitar stand, a huge extension cord, the M13 power supply, and a whole bunch of small stuff in the pockets in the front area.

Its a squeeze but it fits nicely

Gator cases have awesome gig bags.  Great build quality for a good price.  I got one of the smaller ones to fit the M9 and was able to just fit the unit, the AC adapter, and the midi cables in the case.  Snug fit.

Several have mentioned the Pod XT live bag.   What are the exact internal dimensions of this bag?  It doesn't state anywhere on the line 6 page for this product or anywhere else.

    Re: Padded gigbags for M13?

I have used the 2U gator rack case in the past.  I used some upholstry foam placed between the side of the M13 to pad the power cable (not connected just to the side for carrying) which kept the whole thing rather stable.  I used a utility knife to carve out a "pocket" in the foam for the power xformer to sit then made sure the power cable ran tothe outside.  I used the felcro ties to keep the wires neat.  This left me room in the top zipper pouch for the cables.  It was a lot of work but I felt it saved me from having grief due to breakage and harsh handling.

Now I use the Pedaltrain 2.  Everything is self contained.  However, since I use the 4CM I have a little backpack for that.  Here is a pic of the PT2 with case.

Note I just uploaded the files. The embedded images went away

      Re: Padded gigbags for M13?

Oh yea, I use some automobile cabling tubing to put my cables in so the setup time is a minute start to finish to lay out my board, run the 4 1/4" jackes through the other front hole and connect M13 and amp.  I am using Mesa amps with a single rhythmn/lead switch.  Since I have found that I don't need distortion or OD I use the volume pedal and EQ out of the that family.  The songs I play range from Lincoln Brewster to Maranda Lambert to AC/DC to Journey to blues to Baptist revival (yep that is my style).

I have yet to find another FX I would need that is not in the M13.  I have found that using my Fender 75 or Acoustic 165 [Mesa Mark I clone] or practice Kustom 12A does need other effects.  So the amp and style have as much to say about how your board AND what case based upon board size you might need.

      Dennis
