Which Mac OS are you using? Please note that Snow Leopard is not yet fully supported. This may be your problem.
Mac Os 10.5.8
and the last Java version
Thanks..
Hello,
I've seen this happen once or twice before and I have actually experienced it personally. I was able to resolve the MIDI timeout by reinstalling the Bass POD's flash memory with the Lin e6 Monkey software.
I'd suggest you try that and then try re-connecting to Edit.
Line6Miller
I have also done that, reinstalled the usb drivers, and reinstalled Line 6 Edit. Still no dice.
Any ideas on how to fix this? This was a major reason to have this device, and it does not work.
SOLUTION:
I had the same problem. This is what helped:
1) Use LIne 6 Monkey to reinstall USB firmware and FLASH memory (this order).
2) Then use Line 6 uninstall utility to remove DRIVER and EDIT program.
3) Last step is factory reset of POD.
Restart computer and install DRIVER and EDIT program again without Java runtime (it worked for me).
IMPORTANT: Do not change any setting nor preset in POD before first succesfull connection with Edit program!!! Better do not even touch it.
It could be the reason of midi timeout issue.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
